Curriculum

This is our planned programme of learning. The Governors’ and the staff’s curriculum aims are the same as those of the Education Authority – “The purposes of learning in schools are to help pupils to:

· Develop lively, imaginative and enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks, and physical skills;

· Acquire understanding, knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a fast changing world;
· Use language and number effectively;

· Develop personal moral values, respect for religious values and the ways of life of all cultures;

· Develop a concern for the environment, an understanding of the world in which they live and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations;
· Appreciate people’s achievements and aspirations;

· Take their place in society in an informed, positive and active way.
