Year 2 visited Pizza Express in Hertford to experience creating
their own pizzas! We also tasted a wide range of pizza toppings
including anchovies, capers and peppers. As you can see from
the photographs, some ingredients we loved and some we thought
were quite disgusting!
Finally we delivered our pizzas safely back to school where we
enjoyed eating them in our Roydon Pizzeria role-play area.
In Numeracy Year 2 have been
partitioning two-digit numbers. We remember that the tens number has
a zero by calling out, "Zero the Hero". The photos show us
partitioning with super-hero help!
In Literacy Year 2
have been following, reading and writing instructions. The
photographs show Year 2 reading instructions for the playground game,
'What's the time Mr. Wolf?
Year 2 have been
exploring our wild life area and playground to compare the animals
they find. Our results showed more animals were living in the
wildlife area, although there was one big surprise when we discovered
a grasshopper in the middle of Key Stage One's playground!
